Peachtree City Bike Ride

April 20, 2025
On Easter Sunday, 20 April, 2025, five GWS members and a guest got together to bike about 15 miles on Peachtree City’s paved multi-use paths. We started out at Jim Meade Athletic Park, and headed north toward Lake Peachtree. Along the way, we took a break at Braelin Park ponds, where Margaret and Lynn (mostly Lynn) decided to turn back. The rest of us continued on to the lake, then biked south along the eastern shore, past the dam, along Flat Creek, and finally back to our vehicles at Jim Meade. Total time, including breaks, was just under 2.5 hours.
After the trip, we all headed over to Holly Payne’s new digs in Senoia, where we also saw Dawn & Tommie. We were served up a nice lunch, and admired their home and the two swimming pool residents--frogs.
Participants were: Margaret Clay, Curt Cole (trip leader), Bonnie Gehling, Lynn Rivenbark, Basil & Farley Youman.
