Georgia Wilderness Society
Games Day
What a day we had! Beautiful weather, challenging games, scenic woods walk, tasty pizzas and desserts, and just some super social interaction with usual knee-deep BS.
Thirteen members showed up at the Work Farm where they did not have to work. David and Cherry took Tami for a farm tour on the converted golf cart while we others hiked. Joe introduced Yuki to bocce and their team engineered a last minute come back to edge out the
Ross/Gehling juggernaut team.
Tami later won the Scrabble match with Rosemary and Corky while Bonnie headed up some card games; Cherry, David, Curt and I banged away
at some ping-pong,
giving the long-neglected
table some use. Yuki got
some valuable experi-
ence learning to
throw Joe's frisbee while
all enjoyed the peach
orchard, now in full
bloom. (The sprayers
which were operating politely avoided
our games area.) Special thanks to
David and Cherry for conducting the
cart ride which Tami seemed to much enjoy.
Other attendees included Irene, Jane, Basil, Peg, and Vicki. Thanks to all our guests for bringing dishes and pitching in to help run the show.
