Dauset Trails

January 1, 2026
The First Day of 2026 was beautiful…sunny with temps close to 50° that rose as the morning progressed. Nine GWS members hiked 5 miles of trails, along creeks and rushing water, with a couple of up and down trail sections. We took a break along the way for some of Irene’s chocolates.
As always, the trip leader, Margaret had a paper map to follow, but got bamboozled for a short while since the trail numbers had been removed from the trail, replaced by trail name signs. After being briefly bamboozled, we decided to pick a trail to see where it would lead us. We didn’t get lost and enjoyed the day immensely. Fantastic weather, great friends and a wonderful start to a brand new year!
Hikers were Shirley Williams, Yuki Ryan, Lynn Rivenbark, Jim Nelson, Peg Jones, Bonnie Gehling, Curt & Irene Cole and
trip leader Margaret Clay.
